Throughout the years of owning ragdoll cats and ragdoll kittens, we have tried out many different products and ragdoll supplies so we wanted to share some of our recommendations for items that we have been impressed with. All items we can personally attest to and are currently using.
Litter Management
Litter Mat – This is a great product for catching the extra litter that typically tracks out with your ragdolls feet.
LitterRobot – Don’t feel like cleaning the litter box every day? This automates the process! We have 4 of these in our house to help with this daily task.
Litter Genie – This is a handy device for collecting litter box waste materials. It is a similar concept to the diaper genie but for the furry children.
Litter Scoop – After trying many different scoops, this one seems to have held up the best.
Cat Attract Litter Additive – Problem animal not wanting to use their litter box? This helps attract them back to where they should be going.
Adult Cat Litter – This is our litter of choice when used with the LitterRobot. We do not recommend using this for kittens because of the possible dangers linked with clumping litter.
Pellet Kitten Cat Litter – This is our litter of choice for all of our ragdoll kittens.
Non-stick Litter Box – We’ve been very happy with this box and makes for super easy scooping.
Food & Water
Water Fountain – Our cats love to drink from this as it constantly keeps the water circulating and filters out any floating debris.
Fountain Replacement Filters – This is replacement foam filters for the above mentioned water fountain.
Pet Feeder – This is gravity fed feeder for allowing your ragdoll cats and ragdoll kittens to self regulate how much they want to eat.
Cat Food – This is our main food source which we feed to all of our adult ragdoll breeders. We usually scour the internet trying to find the best price and this appears to be the cheapest we’ve been able to find.
Cat Treats – Of all the treats we’ve tried, this seems to be the all time favorite! We always like to keep these around in our supplies for treat time.
Wet Food – This is our main go to which we feed as an “extra” treat to our ragdoll breeders. When starting the weaning process for our ragdoll kittens we generally start with this and begin mixing in solid foods.
Wet Food Lid Covers – If you use wet food and have leftovers, these are a lifesaver!!
Playtime
Scratching Post – This is heavy duty scratching post that our ragdoll cats & ragdoll kittens love playing on.
Cat Scratch Board – We recommend these to place in random spots around your house and encourage your ragdoll cats and ragdoll kittens to use these to sharpen their claws.
Wall Mounted Tree Shelves – If you have the space for this and don’t mind the expense, we highly recommend this! Our ragdolls love this and it provides them (and us) hours of entertainment.
Catnip Cat Mice – Our ragdolls love these, the only problem is so do our dogs and they usually end up chewing them up so their lifespan is rather short.
Tower of Tracks – Our ragdoll cats and ragdoll kittens will play for hours with this toy. Many times two or three will gather together and bat the ball back and forth with each other.
Cat Condo – Our ragdoll cats and ragdoll kittens love to hang out in/on/under this. Many times they will just lounge while other times they will attack each other through the openings. We have this positioned right under our TV and this has provided us many hours of entertainment.
Cat Springs – these little toys are cheap and provide unlimited entertainment!
Personal Care
Nail Clippers – These trimmers have served us very well for that routine trimming.
Cat Comb – This is a great comb for keeping your ragdolls fur as bunny smooth as possible. This is our pick of choice at cat shows we’re competing in.
Household
Door / Window Screen Replacement – This screen has held up remarkably well for our pets! Still looks brand new and we replaced it in early 2020. It is heavier to work with than a typical screen, but well worth it in our opinion!
